The first part - on a colonial cart pulled by a horse - winds through the newer section of Trinidad City, and includes visits to the old Catholic Cemetery, a brick factory, the old train station, a pottery, and the old prison.
The second part is a walk around the historical center, including the entrance to Museo Nacional de la Lucha contra Bandidos. Lunch (which includes a drink) is in a restaurant, with a choice of pork, lamb, chicken, or fish.
Travelling by a classic American car, this excursion includes visits to El Mirador del Valle, where you can go zip-lining; San Isidro de los Destiladeros; the ruins of an old mini-sugar cane factory and alcohol distillery; and Manaca Isnaga, a small town where was located the biggest sugar cane factory in the valley. The tickets to go up the Manaca Tower and to San Isidro site and drinks in El Mirador del Valle are included. Time depends on if you do the zip-lining or not.
An unforgettable adventure horse riding across Santa Rosa Valley, the smaller section of Valle de los Ingenios, that was used mainly to produce bricks and tiles in the times of the Colony. Today it is inhabited by many locals families in the community named “La Pastora.” You'll see how the rural life for Cubans is, and some factories of bricks (some are in ruins). Also you'll see the show by the COFFEE-MAN, about how a coffee cup was made by the “guajiros” (people from the countyside) since long ago.
The ride includes a visit to a natural swimming pool and a lunch in a restaurant in the middle of the Valley.
This hike includes visits to El Mirador, with its stunning view across Trinidad and the Caribbean Sea; a visit to Museo del Café; a short `trip` through the history of the coffee; and a hike to Salto del Caburní, a beautiful waterfall and a nice natural swimming pool.
It's possible to see many birds, including the Cuban National Bird, the TOCORORO. The tour includes transportation, the tickets to get into the park, and guidance.
An easy hike along the side of the mountain, where it is possible to see many birds including the TOCORORO, the Cuban National Bird. There you'll also find the largest wasp's nest you'll ever see! - and finally you could go swimming at Javira Waterfall.
You can book my guidance by the hour. I also organize snorkelling, scuba diving, and Salsa-dancing lessons. As a local I can be of special help with lodging and transfers.
